So I was checking out the ole comments section in some of my old articles and I noticed something exciting. A sparkling star of a human named TrishTheDish says "
Awesome. Can you teach us how to draw a bear to challenge the shark next?". I recoiled in excitement like a viper. Not only did someone leave a comment with correct english, but it was actually one that made sense! So, for my favorite person in the world, Jake Plummer, I will teach you how to draw... A BEAR!
Just like our friend shark face, we start with a big circle. Circles are round so they will often appear to be circular. This circle is definately circular, and will later serve as the body of our bear. I'm already shaking in anticipation of the next step!
WHOA! Big step there chappy! Now we add another circle for his head, over there on the left. Then we move on to rectangles. They are at the bottom of the body circle because that is where bears' legs are. I looked up bears in the encyclopedia britannica and it told me that bears will often use their legs to walk. Interesting. STEP THREE!
Oh, look at that. I added a snout and some ears. I know that this might look like a pig right now, but where is the swirly tail? It isn't there, because this is a bear, with hair, eating a pear, he won't share, that's not fair! It's okay, I don't even care. Step four.
I cleaned up the extra lines inside and shaped his back to be more bearly. I also added some cute little beady eyes because that is what bears use to see, and a blind bear is as good as a fork in a soup eating contest. That analogy is supposed to mean it would be very funny, but not very successful, making it even funnier. Step Five. Do it.
I added some gnarly teeth and angry eyebrows. Also the scared guy in the back really helps to put the message of "I'm a bear" across. I'm getting tired of the boringness though, let's add some details! Let's splash on some colors, some environment, maybe a fish! FINAL STEP!
There it is. I didn't add the fish, cause those things freaking smell. Like fish. GROOOSSSSSSSSSS. Have fun drawing. And when you are done drawing send the pictures to me! I'll create a new page just for the pictures you guys send me in. Maybe you will get extra credit in school too! Probably not though, most teachers are buttholes. E-mail them to here! |
