Stikfas are some of the coolest toys ever made. I've owned a couple and I really liked them. Problem is with my current toy problem I didn't have the money to buy these 3 3/4" toys at the premium price they demanded. Lady luck was on my side this weekend though and presented me with the bigger Stikfas sets on CLEARANCE. The wonderful things that Toys "R" Us clearances can bring are really not able to be expressed in mere numbers. I am getting ahead of myself though here is my review of one half of my Stikfas find: The Knight with horsey.

I got two sets at four dollars each. One was an awesome looking dragon with dragon lady tamer lader dragon. The other was a knight with a horse. I was originally intending to do both at one time but circumstances that I will get to later in this piece arose. So only the knight will get a review tonight. If you are unfamiliar with Stikfas they are small 3 3/4" inch mega articulated figures that come usually in just one color and are often refered to as "the toy customizer's dream". I'm not here to disagree since I love these guys more than chuckwagon steak. As a side note, I REALLY like chuckwagon steak.

Inside the box is a ziploc-esque bag full of goodies. The set comes with a resealable bag because it comes with extra pieces so that you can put armor on your knight, give him an axe, a sword, a lance, or a menagerie of other things. The pieces come in frames, much like GI Joe and TMNT weapons did in years past.

Look at that. It brings back memories of the wide assortment of same colored weapons I had to choose from for my teenage mutant hero turtles. I say hero because ninjas are inherently evil and the word should not be said to the impressionable youth of today. God knows I grew up emulating those evil turtles who were chemically manipulated by He-Man slime to become teenage ninjas. Oops, I said ninja. All soapboxes aside, I really enjoyed breaking all of these pieces out of the frames and got to slapping these bad boys together.
Nearly 40 minutes later when I got all of it together I realized that I wasn't going to be able to pull off the dual review I was planning. Things will work out though. We'll make it out okay, as long as Roy Koopa doesn't impose his wickedly cool gaze upon me, I would immediately freeze with coolness SHOCK.

I avoided the sweet shades of Roy Koopa and I finished putting my beast and man together. My horse has a bum leg, but I fixed it with a Burger King toy wrapper (more on that later) and now his joint is tighter than the lid on an old pickle jar. The human, for a lack of better description, stikfa is the same "Alpha Male" design that I got when the figures first came out. From what I can gather there is now a new version that has even more articulation, which is pretty incredible because I can manipulate the old version into almost any position imaginable. Even the dirtiest of poses. My point is that the level of movement these things have makes my Plo Koon toy cry tears of articulation envy.

After putting on the optional armor my Stikfa, whom I named Sidewalk, was ready for some HOT POSES! I'm going to give my scores then I shall treat you to some really neat pictures of Sidewalk and his horse named Horse.
Articulation - 10 out of 10 For it's size I can't imagine this having anymore useful articulation. Awesome.
Sculpting - 7 out of 10 This is hard to judge. I'm going to have to give it a medium score since it is perfect for what it is, but it is just too simple to be considered good sculpting.
Overall - 9 out of 10 The amount of stuff you can add for this to have just the right amount of FLAVA is awesome, if you have a Toys "R" Us near you, TRY TO BUY THIS NOW!
Here are some pictures!
